Increase the number of private protected areas through civil society efforts

Program for the Support of RPPNs in the Atlantic Forest
Support the creation of private reserves throughout the Central and Serra do Mar conservation corridors of the Atlantic Forest. This program will act as a grant-making program to local groups and organizations that will work directly with landowners to create reserves under the Brazilian RPPN mechanism.
