Strategic Support to the Consolidation of the Management and Development of the Newly Proclaimed Sperrgebiet National Park and Immediately Adjacent Areas Further the institutional strengthening of the newly proclaimed 2.6 million-hectare Sperrgebiet National Park on Namibia's southwest coast. Grant funds will support finalization and dissemination of park regulations; development and implementation staffing, infrastructure, tourism and business plans; establishment of a public information center; and support for multi-stakeholder committees addressing the park interface with mining, coastal resources, the private sector and surrounding communities.

Consolidating Implementation of Conservation Action in CEPF SKEP Priorities in the Namakwa DistrictEnsure that local economic development in the Namakwa District supports biodiversity conservation and supports implementation of the Northern Cape Department of Tourism, Environment and Conservation stewardship strategy in the district. Also focus and finalize the establishment of SKEPPIES as a sustainable financing vehicle.
Consolidation of the Knersvlakte Conservation AreaAssist the newly established Knervlakte Provincial Nature Reserve to become more than a "paper park" by supporting management implementation actions. This grant will build core capacity of reserve staff, assist with the development and implementation of a management plan, strengthen stakeholder engagement in the reserve and ensure engagement of local government economic officers.
Institutionalize the SKEP Learning Network, Embed Local Level Governance and Mainstream Biodiversity ConservationWithin the Namakwa District, collaborate with government partners to incorporate information from the critical biodiversity areas map into land-use decisionmaking. At a hotspot and national level, share lessons from the first five years of grantmaking in the region, promote networks and work to mainstream conservation approaches.
