Conduct baseline survey to know the current situation on pollution and poisons in the Malagarasi River system KBA in Tanzania; reduce levels of pollution in this system within the Uvinza District; reduce illegal fishing and fishing using illegal methods (wrong nets/poisons) in Malagarasi River, Uvinza District; review, track, document and address threats to Malagarasi River information; and develop environmental by-laws in Uvinza District to control, guard and lead all communities, investors, mining and industries to be in line with existing national legislation.

Strategic Direction: 2 Improve the protection and management of the KBA network throughout the hotspot.
