The project is a model initiative, which uses the water resource as an articulating axis to work with indigenous and peasant communities and the municipal government, the management of a municipal protected area, the protection of forests, the conservation of endangered bird species and priority for the profile of the ecosystem, territorial ordering, and the generation of benefits, administration to the local population, among others. In addition to the benefits of water conservation and biodiversity conservation, the model experience allows for lessons learned that can be replicated in other areas, thus contributing to the entire Madidi-Pilón Lajas-Cotapata corridor. No final report required for this project.
Strategic Direction : 2 Mainstream biodiversity conservation into public policies and development plans in seven corridors to support sustainable development, with a focus on sub-national governments.
