Strengthening of community environmental governance in the ɨnkal Awá Nature Reserve The “PIMAN”, Resguardo Indígena Awá El Gran Sábalo, linking the community and institutional actors of UNIPA based in their area of ​​influence in a participatory process that leads to their empowerment for conservation, contributing to mitigate the threats over this Key Biodiversity Area that provides important ecosystem services to the local population like water.

Strategic Direction: 6 Strengthen civil society capacity, stakeholder alliances and communications to achieve CEPF conservation outcomes, focusing on indigenous, Afro-descendent and mestizo groups.
