Development & Biodiversity Conservation Action for Madagascar
Grantee Name: Conservation International
Conservation International Madagascar will prepare the ecosystem profile, a rapid assessment of the priority areas within the Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands biodiversity hotspot. In September 2012, the CEPF Donor Council selected Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands Hotspot as a CEPF region eligible for profiling and re-investment. Consequently, in December 2012, the CEPF Secretariat produced a scope of work for a one-year design phase that is expected to be followed by a five-year grant-making phase that will provide conservation funding through civil society organizations.
