Conduct baseline studies on the ecology and distribution of the tent tortoise (Psammobates tentorius) in the Succulent Karoo, identify priority sites for conservation, and produce sustainable management guidelines for land users within the Succulent Karoo. The project will generate public awareness of the tent tortoise as a flagship species meriting conservation attention.
