The Alliance for Rural Communities will work with 11 schools in the Pondoland region, focusing on creating environmental awareness amongst young learners, which they will in turn transfer to their families and broader community. It is envisaged that a broader understanding of environmental issues would safeguard the community against unsustainable development.
