Undertake an environmental study of the Lancang-Mekong Development Plan to better understand the potential impacts of engineering the Upper Mekong River for improved navigation, and propose options for avoidance, enhancement and mitigation measures to decision makers in Lao PDR and Thailand. Promote adoption of an environmental management framework that safeguards the effective management of target reaches of the Mekong River.
