Macaques are a serious threat to the biodiversity of Palau and to peoples' livelihoods on Angaur Island. The people of Angaur wish to remove them, and this study addresses the questions of whether this goal is possible, how it might be done, and what resources are needed to do it. There is a possibility that macaque management on Angaur can be successfully achieved given the availability of sufficient resources and expertise.

Strategic Direction: 1 Prevent, control, and eradicate invasive species in key biodiversity areas
