Expand protection and foster community-based conservation of Atuncela Regional Integrated Management Area by funding technical assessments and community consultations for new protection, communal co-management, capacity building, demonstration projects to implement the management plan, strategy development for eco-tourism, communications and outreach, citizen monitoring for biodiversity, and exchange visits to other CEPF grants for knowledge sharing.

Strategic Direction: 1 Strengthen protection and management of 52 priority KBAs to foster participatory governance, green recovery from COVID-19, climate change resilience, species conservation, and financial sustainability.
