The project aims at improving the knowledge of three Key Biodiversity Areas which are currently unmanaged, and prepare the ground for future protection. C3 will assess the status of key habitats - in particular seagrass beds and mangroves, gather information on sea turtles and dugongs, and evaluate socio-economic situation of local communities. Through Junior Ecogards and Conservation Ambassadors programmes, C3 will also raise environmental awareness with local communities and initiate discussions on potential conservation and sustainable management options.
2 Enable civil society to mainstream biodiversity and conservation into political and economic decision-making.
