Expand protection and improve management of La Planada Nature Reserve and its buffer zone. To improve management of the reserve, this project aims to strengthen governance, provide environmental education, improve communications capacity, market ecotourism, develop a gender policy and prepare a sustainable financing strategy. The project will enable expansion of protection into surrounding habitats by conducting species inventories, land tenure studies and local planning.

Strategic Direction :

1 Strengthen protection and management of 52 priority KBAs to foster participatory governance, green recovery from COVID-19, climate change resilience, species conservation, and financial sustainability.
