Work with farmer groups to prevent further degradation of the Ili Wengot forest, a Key Biodiversity Area in Indonesia and home to the Critically Endangered Flores hawk-eagle (Nisaetus floris) and a critical water catchment for East Flores District. The government has issued permits giving local community members access to the forest’s resources. A lack of soil conservation skills and sustainable farming has caused negative impacts to the environment.
