Improve community access to environmental legal education in some of the Key Biodiversity Area sites in Solomon Islands. Training and workshops will be held in these sites so that communities are better informed and able to make decisions concerning the management of their sites as well as potentially moving toward the establishment of protected areas. In addition, the grant will assist SIELA with strategic planning and maintaining good governance of the organization.

Strategic Direction: 4 Increase local, national and regional capacity to conserve biodiversity through catalyzing civil society partnerships
