Strengthen coordination councils of three protected areas in Kazakhstan. Work with park authorities at Aksu-Zhabagly, Karata, and Saryam-Ugam state nature reserves to better engage communities and civil society; promote improved regulations on the composition of coordination councils; further the creation of the Western Tien Shan transboundary World Heritage Site; and engage communities surrounding the three reserves so that they better understand the value of their environments.
