Broker relationships between water user associations and community forestry associations in the Kikuyu Escarpment Forest and potential buyers of ecosystem services—water of a certain quantity and quality—downstream in Kiambu County in central Kenya. The 37,000 hectare area includes catchments of five rivers providing services to towns, water companies, major agricultural users and bottlers.
