Maleo Bird Nesting Site Conservation in North Halmahera

For along time, villages of Simau have been harvesting egg of Eulipoa Wallacei or Gosong Maluku and sell it, and this is the major threat to its population. This also against the Indonesia PP No. 7/1999. CEPF support Yayasan Pendidikan Kristen Halmahera to enhance aware of villagers about importance of Gosong Maluku for Biodiversity by conduct various awareness activities and assessment for alternative livelihood to reduce harvesting by villagers.
