The project aims at preventing local extinction of vultures by raising awareness of local communities in three provinces of Preah Vihear, Stung Treng and Mondulkiri, Cambodia about the threat from pesticides to vultures; maintaining the population size by supplementing food supplies and monitoring adults and nests; and banning the use of some pesticides from entering the vulture food chain.
