IBCSD will test international standards on best practice for conserving biodiversity in mining sites at two sites managed by a large mining company in Sulawesi. Using the experience from this pilot effort, they will convene stakeholders to make the international standards appropriate in an Indonesian context. IBCSD will then work with the Indonesian Mining Association to promote adoption of the standards by other mining companies.
