Raise awareness about the threats from logging and development in Vanuatu’s largest Key Biodiversity Area, the Santo Mountain Chain. Consult with at least 25 communities in remote West Coast Santo. Install signboards displaying key messages about unsustainable logging and agriculture. Launch a social media campaign. Support local communities to formalize long-term sustainable forest management, including bans on timber extraction and sale.
1 Empower local communities to protect and manage globally significant biodiversity at priority Key Biodiversity Areas under-served by current conservation efforts
