Raise the profile of sustainable capture fisheries as an alternative use of free-flowing rivers that can support livelihoods rather than the existing paradigm of abstraction of water or regulation for hydropower. Drawing on scientific and traditional knowledge and sharing best practices from existing sites, replicate the community-based fish conservation model to additional sites in Manipur and Meghalaya states.
