Repatriate captive bred Egyptian tortoise, Testudo kleinmanni, into wild suitable habitats in northern Egypt. Select release sites, work with local communities and authorities to ensure long-term management of habitats and survival of released individuals. Assess genetics and enhance husbandry of captive stock. Establish habitat improvement measures and monitoring procedures of released animals and protected habitats to assess survival success.
