Increase the Intag Toisán municipal protected area by between 18,000 and 122,782 hectares as “Intag Toisán Municipal Conservation and Sustainable Use Area.” A management plan will be designed and agreed upon in a participatory way between communities and the Autonomous District Governments, and a management and development committee will be set up for ACUS-MIT involving 21 civil society representatives who will receive training and will be part of the cantonal assembly. Six local ecotourism organizations will increase visitor numbers by 20 percent as part of a strategy to contribute to the ACUS-MIT.

Strategic Direction: 1 Improve protection and management of 36 priority KBAs to create and maintain local support for conservation and to mitigate key threats.
