Support the Zaira community as they work toward declaring the Zaira Resource Management Area as a protected area under the Solomon Islands Protected Area Act 2010. The project will assist in mapping the ZRMA boundaries, declaring the rightful landowner and providing legal support in all aspects of the protected area approval process. Training, guidance and support will be provided to the rangers of Zaira who are instrumental in managing the ZRMA.

Strategic Direction: 1 Empower local communities to protect and manage globally significant biodiversity at priority Key Biodiversity Areas under-served by current conservation efforts
