To conduct surveys mainly for the two species of most concern, the Hega and the Peka, as well as others like the Lupe. Information on the fauna will be used to consider the need for management action to protect threatened species and to further encourage the villages of Liku and Hakupu to manage Huvalu Forest for conservation as well as update the status of these species in the revised National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP).
