Promote sustainable conservation management of the Yela ecosystem and its biodiversity through strong community engagement: in public awareness programs and surveys; ecotourism activities; recognizing the Yela Conservation Area as a legal reserve and developing and endorsing a management plan for the Yela Conservation Site. This will help build the capacity of the local Yela community to become better custodians of their own natural resources.

Strategic Direction: 3 Build awareness and participation of local leaders and community members in the implementation of protection and recovery plans for threatened species
