Strengthen the capacity of five local forest management committees to enhance their effectiveness at sustainably managing forest reserves and implementing applied biodiversity conservation actions. Improve the committees’ technical and institutional capacity and provide coherent governance and institutional strengthening to support their long-term operations. Strengthen collaboration and coordination among committees through a national umbrella body. Increase awareness and integration of community forestry initiatives among local communities bordering forest reserves in Jamaica.
