Strengthen the customary rights of traditional landowners over Mount Maetambe-Kolombangara River Key Biodiversity Area on Choiseul Island, part of the nation of Solomon Islands, by undertaking a comprehensive biodiversity and socioeconomic survey, raising awareness of the beauty and uniqueness of the area's flora and fauna among local communities and the wider public, and promoting recognition of the site by the Solomon Islands government under the 2010 Protected Areas Act.

Strategic Direction: 1 Empower local communities to protect and manage globally significant biodiversity at priority Key Biodiversity Areas under-served by current conservation efforts
