Develop applied training to build Liberian capacity for the implementation of the Regional Conservation Strategy and the National Action Plan for Pygmy Hippopotamus in the Cestos-Sapo-Grebo-Taï-Cavally and Lofa-Mano-Gola Corridor areas. Implement a national and transboundary Pygmy Hippo survey. Reassess the national and regional status and increase governmental and public awareness of this flagship species.
