The Wilderness Foundation is creating a peer-to-peer network among the managers of two national parks (Camdeboo and Mountain Zebra), two Eastern Cape provincial reserves (Mkambati and Dwese-Cebe), a private, tourism-oriented game reserve (Mount Camdeboo), and a new, private nature reserve that is being restored from a degraded state (Plains of Camdeboo). The goal is improved management within each reserve (as measured by a tool known as the METT), improved capacity of the reserve managers, and creation of the conditions for a possible corridor in the Camdeboo-Mountain Zebra region.

Strategic Direction: 2 Expand conservation areas and improve land use in 19 key biodiversity areas through innovative approaches
