Establish a participatory management structure for the implementation of the management plan for the Dominican Republic's Valle Nuevo National Park. Build capacities of the surrounding communities of El Castillo, Montellano and Pinar Parejo in best practices for sustainable agriculture, ecological restoration for biodiversity conservation, and institutional strengthening of community-based organizations through training workshops and on-the-ground technical assistance.

Strategic Direction: 3 Support Caribbean civil society to achieve biodiversity conservation by building local and regional institutional capacity and by fostering stakeholder collaboration
