Develop and refine acoustic systems for assessing and monitoring local populations of forest elephants in Ghana's Kakum National Park. Detect and analyze elephant sounds, including infrasonic calls that are inaudible to human ears, to help researchers and conservationists generate abundance estimates, deduce population structure and contribute to management strategies that will ensure the long-term survival of elephant populations.
