Threat Mitigation in Sierra de Bahoruco and Bahoruco Oriental Key Biodiversity Areas, Dominican Republic

Strengthen management of the Sierra de Bahoruco and Bahoruco Oriental protected areas and their buffer zones to mitigate threats. Build management capacity, develop bird-friendly coffee demonstration plots and promote ecotourism. Prepare and implement species conservation action plans. Establish a stakeholder management committee and community extension. Strengthen institutional capacity of the Sociedad Ornitologica de la Hispaniola.
